    • Brand sure that the batteries are fully charged and are in adept working order. When possible, go on sets of known good batteries of various ratings in your shop at all times. The Companion uses 2 (2) 35AH (U1) batteries. Problems that surface during troubleshooting are often due to the fact that the batteries are non fully charged or cannot hold their charge.

Component: fifty amp Circuit Breaker (1) Location: Mounted on the front frame nether the seat. Run across figure 1. Function: Protects battery circuit from current overload. When the current describe exceeds the breaker rating, the circuit breaker will open.

Role: Connects the Batteries Harnesses (iv and 5) to the Circuit Breaker (1) and the Controller (viii). Connections: 6a and 7a connect to the Battery Harnesses (four and 5). 6b and 7b connect to the Excursion Breaker (i).

Front end INTERMEDIATE MOTOR HARNESS Office: Provides connectivity for Rear Intermediate Motor Harness (10) and the Controller (8). Connections: Connects to the Rear Intermediate Motor Harness (10a) and the Controller (8b, 8c, and 8d.) Failure Signs: Scooter will run slowly or not at all.

Connections: Control Panel Harness Failure Signs: Flash Code #7 Tests: Call Tech Support Expected readings: Depends on speed pot position. KEY SWITCH SPEED POT Serviceable: Supercede the Control Panel.

  • Page thirteen: Scenario 1: Turn The Cardinal To The On Position And No Power

    Scenario i: Turn the Fundamental to the On Position and No Power Put the primal into the key switch and turn to the on position. There is no power to the control panel. The horn does not work, the lights practice non work, and the battery condition meter does not work. Bombardment voltage travels from the batteries, through the controller and the key switch.

    15) Disconnect the key switch connector from the control panel harness. Brand sure that the fundamental is in the on position. Measure continuity beyond the two pins on the key switch connector. Continuity? - Supplant the command panel wiring harness. Open? - Supercede the key switch.

    Wink CODES The controller uses an LED on the console to bespeak the status of the system. When the key is in the fundamental switch and the light is solid greenish, the power is on and the system is running commonly. When the controller notices that in that location is a malfunction in the organization, information technology will wink a code when the key is inserted into the key switch.

Remove the seat. Remove the rear shroud. Remove the batteries. Employ a slotted screwdriver to pry off the circuit breaker embrace.
